Locate your green thumb with Southfield Public Library’s reading program Plant a Seed, READ! This summer the library will cultivate a variety of garden themed events and encourage you to grow your reading habit by logging each day that you read for at least 20 minutes.
Pick up a reading log at the Youth reference desk beginning June 15 and return it between August 1-7 (no matter how complete) to enter one of the prize drawings!
Start Here
- Pick up a Reading Log from the Youth Reference Desk beginning June 15.
Earn Raffle Tickets
- Log each day you read for 20 minutes or more.
- Complete a bingo.
- Complete your entire bingo board.
Finish Line
- Return your Raffle Tickets to the Youth Reference Desk between August 1 & 7.
- Winners will be notified by email on August 10 & can pick up their prize at the Garden & Games Event.
- Prizes must be picked up in person by August 28.

Weekly Raffle
Don’t miss out on the Weekly Raffle between June 15 and July 27. Each week, either the Good Egg or Bad Seed will visit a new location inside the Youth room. Fill out a raffle ticket with each week’s location and you could be a winner!
