Friends of the Southfield Public Library

The Friends of the Southfield Public Library are a dynamic and involved group of Library supporters who truly enhance the services the Library is able to provide.

The Friends purchase items not provided for in the Library’s budget, provide seed money for new services and collections, and actively promote the use of the Library to the community.

In addition, the Friends sponsor various Library programs and special events, such as the Jazz & Blues @ Your Library series and many more.

As a member of the Friends, you become part of a group improving our Library services each and every day. You will receive invitations to special programs, a tax deduction, discounts in the Friends Book Cellar and Jazz & Blues concerts and a chance to offer your expertise and talents to your Library.

The Friends Board meets on the 3rd or 4th Wednesday of each month at 3 pm. Meetings are held in the Southfield Room, on the 3rd Floor of the LIbrary.
