The Friends of the Southfield Public Library seek volunteers to assist in the BookShelf. The BookShelf is open the first Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday of every month.

Volunteers help at the sales by assisting customers and checking customers out at the cash register. In between sales, the volunteers sort, organize, price and restock for upcoming sales. Some tasks require the ability to push a cart containing books. Some lifting and bending may also be necessary. At the moment, we need help with pricing and sorting on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.
