Public Computer Use Rules

1.ย  ย  ย Computer use is first-come, first-served.ย 

2.ย  ย  ย There is a limit of two (2) users per workstation.

3.ย  ย  ย Guest passes are available for non-library cardholders with a valid ID. Guest passes are limited to two hours per day, one per person, no extensions.ย 

4.ย  ย  ย Library staff can provide assistance with logging in/out, printing, and basic software functions for library supported software.ย 

5.ย  ย  Library staff cannot assist with tasks involving personal information.ย  ย 

6.ย  ย  ย These rules will be enforced in conjunction with The Library Code of Conduct and the Public Computer Use and Internet Policy.ย 

7.ย  ย  ย The Library reserves the right to monitor and disallow equipment usage.ย 

8.ย  ย  ย Unethical, illegal, or misuse of equipment may result in a denial of computer privileges and/or further action by local authorities.

9.ย  ย  ย Users assume responsibility for any risks associated with data and equipment usage.ย 

10.ย  ย  Users are responsible for saving their own work. The computers do not retain personal files once the session has ended.

11.ย  ย  ย The Library is not responsible for any corruption or loss of data.ย 

12.ย  ย  ย Users assume responsibility to provide their own storage media (USB drives, cloud storage, etc.)ย 

13.ย  ย  ย Computer Labs are Quiet Zones. Please see Code of Conduct (Behavior Policy) for rules regarding Quiet Zones.ย 

14.ย  ย  ย All computer users must leave the Lab 30 minutes before a scheduled class.ย ย 

15.ย  ย  Unauthorized programs may not be installed on any library-owned equipment.ย
