Homework Alert provides a communication tool for teachers and students. Teachers fill out an assignment form and send it to the library. Library staff is then able to select appropriate materials from our collection, as well as gathering related web sites. The assignments are then linked from our web site for student use. This allows us to give all students with the same assignment a better chance of locating materials and information.
Students, if you see your teacher’s name listed or other information pertaining to your school assignments on this page, click on it to look at your assignment.
If your child is absent from school the day an assignment is given, you may find the assignment here. Homework Alert will also help you assist your child in completing his/her assignment in a timely manner. Homework Alert lets the librarians at the Southfield Public Library know when you and your students will need materials for research and large class assignments. Some resources may be put in ready reference for the students’ use. At least one week’s notice is greatly appreciated.
