The Southfield Public Library is pleased to offer a wide variety of eBooks,  Audio Books and digital magazines for your enjoyment.

Overdrive eBooks & Audiobooks – First-time users: log in and click on HELP on the right side of the page. This will help you download any necessary free software to make the downloading process work. Overdrive is now compatible with Kindle readers!

Once you complete this one-time process, you are ready to start browsing the downloadable audio books and ebooks.

OneClickdigital Audiobooks – First time users must register with OneClick on their own computer, outside of the library. Log in with your Southfield Library card to gain access to the OneClick page. Create an account and start downloading!

Internet Archive for Books – Free public domain titles for your PC or portable device.

Project Gutenberg – Free public domain titles for your PC or portable device.

Zinio Digital Magazines – we now offer Zinio digital magazine service through The Library Network.

PebbleGo– PebbleGo is the award winning PreK-3 database for reading and research. The PebbleGo databases make learning and improving reading and research skills fun, building on children’s interest. PebbleGo offers four databases: PebbleGo Animals and PebbleGo Science, PebbleGo Biographies and PebbleGo Social Studies. Databases are simple to navigate and offer key reading supports such as read-along audio and word-by-word highlighting.

TrueFlix– Beautiful, authentic ebooks are enhanced with a deep and diverse reservoir of related content in a variety of text types and media–including primary sources, fiction, videos, audio clips, images, and related websites.

Tumblebooks– TumbleBookLibrary is a curated database of children’s e-books and has over 1100 titles for grades K-6, and includes our unique animated, talking picture books, read-along chapter books, national geographic videos, non-fiction books, playlists, as well as books in Spanish and French. Plus, the collection features Graphic Novels – a student favorite! As well as Math Stories!
