Library Art Card Design Contest

Southfield Public Library is holding an art contest for patrons to select one new Library card design celebrating our 20th Anniversary. Show us your best festive designs or highlight why you love the Southfield Public Library and its services! Five finalist entries from each category, adult and youth, will be available for viewing and public voting both online and in-person. One Winner will be selected from each category and announced on September 10, 2023, with cards made available then. Only one submission per person, please. Refer to the submission forms for rules and accepted mediums.

Rules

  • One submission per person
  • Enter contest for specified age group
  • Create a design for the measurement ratio of 6.73 x 4.25 inches
  • Submit design before June 23
  • Must have a valid Southfield Public Library Card

Creating your entry

Submission Details

You may submit your entry in-person at our Circulation Desk or digitally. Please use the form below to submit digitally. Submissions will be accepted May 1 – June 23.ย 

By signing the form below, I agree to the following terms:
I confirm that all the content is my own artwork and
property, and is not subject to copyright or ownership by
any other person. I permit the City of Southfield to use the
content of this form, including all uploaded images, for the
purposes of this library card selection process, including
the on-line voting process. This may include reformatting
content, but is limited to resizing the image and adding
text content to meet the needs of the library card process.
Upon submission, entrants grant Southfield Public Library
all rights to the artwork and consent that all artwork may
be displayed and/or reproduced without limitation and
without future compensation. I consent to the display
and/or use of my original artwork submission or images
thereof by the Southfield Public Library. This consent
applies in all forms known now or in the future, in all
media and in all manners, including, but not limited to,
advertising, art, editorial, electronic, and exhibition.
I hereby release the Southfield Public Library, City of
Southfield elected officials, officers, agents, employees,
and volunteers from any and all claims of any kind on
account of any such use. I understand that if my
artwork is chosen as the winner of the art contest, it will
be displayed on the Southfield Public Library Cards,
Social Media pages, website, and that the artwork will not
be returned to me at the end of the contest.
